Yesterday was the first day of this event. In this blog,Im going to show you TOP 3 most interesting games, results and standings.

Game 1

Magnus Carlsen - Hikaru Nakamura

This game was so interesting. Till the 30th move,Magnus had an advantage and a vary good position. But,unfortunately for him,Carlsen played 30.a6,completely forgetting about a huge threat Qe4 king and rook fork. Magnus couldn't believe that he blundered this badly! however, they played 16 more moves,Carlsen created even little counterattack, but in that endgame,Nakamura's rook was much  stronger than Carlsen's bishop,so Magnus resigned.

Game 2

Nodirbek Abdusattorov - Ian Nepomniachtchi

In this game, young but very talented Nodirbek showed everybody that he deserved to be in this event. He totally crushed Ian Nepomniachtchi in only 22 moves! On 12th move,Abdusattorov sacrificed his knight for an attack.Already on the 20th move,Ian was completely lost,so he played 2 more moves and resigned.

Game 3

Magnus Carlsen - Vladimir Fedoseev

This game was brilliant. Magnus played extremely well and crushed Vladimir Fedoseev in 25 moves.
