The Best Club Images On Chess.com
Out of the top 50 chess clubs in the vote chess leaderboard, which are the best (regarding colors, overall liveliness, creativity, etc.)? Looking through the top 50, there are many simple designs but also many masterpieces, which we will detail below. (ESPECIALLY creativity. I cannot understate the importance of creativity in this field.)

Criteria
There are no criteria; I am simply deciding based on first impression and details. However, as noted above, I will increase the importance of creativity when ranking the images (so an image found online without edits will not likely make the cut).
As a result, we can eliminate many of the clubs. Another criterion would also be the simplicity of the design; it should not be too simple yet should not be too complicated either.
Honorary Mention: The Eevee Lovers
The Eevee Lovers is my own club, so I cannot give myself this sort of credit. However, the design is simplistic and radiant yet still appealing at the same time, and I hope it reaches out to much of a wider audience. The Eevee silhouette is clearly visible in the background with the blue stripe clearly defining the outer layer. Overall, I believe it works well as a club image.
With that out of the way, let’s enter the top 5!
5. Mir Sultan Chess Academy
Mir Sultan Chess Academy’s club image is a great club image and is extremely relevant to chess. The image is simple and chess-themed while still being unique to the club itself. In fact, it appears that the club image is tailored specifically to the club itself with the name in the top corner so fittingly (it matches smoothly to the contents of the club image). The club image is also very colorful and invites the chess community to join a wide community of players.
4. The United Chess Nations
The UCN’s logo is amazing. Its color scheme is extremely smooth, and it appears to me as a metaphor to planet Earth (I think it’s a bit of a stretch but anyway), having an Earth-like fluidity (I suppose that’s the word). The UCN is a compact of players from so many different nations around the world, and its image encompasses this detail brilliantly. Even if you do not look at the text in the club image (its name), its color scheme should appeal to you for joining the club.
3. Chess Champ
Chess Champ’s club image is a mixture of many themes. The fire heating from two of the corners while the brilliancy and king are scattered about. A crown is also present. Finally, the club’s name is brightly strung near the center, and anyone looking at the club image (even from afar) should be able to detect the name. The lighting of the club name is a great idea, and the random chess elements do make the club appear exciting and powerful to outsiders.
2. PHILIPPINES’ FINEST CHESS CLUB
PFCC’s logo is extremely unique. It captures the bright colors of the flag of the Philippines (blue, red, gold), placing the colors on the sides of a triangle, which is a symbol of the flag of the Philippines as well. The decorations on the knight are nice with the use of the golden theme yet again. Overall, the image represents its community incredibly well, and it is fitting that such a club would be placed so high in the world.
And last but not least, this may come as a surprise…
1. - Road To GM -
Although the colors may be darker than many other clubs’ images, the theme is prevalent. The abbreviation for the club provides a neat layout across the club image (while still being very clear), and the image is still simplistic after the knights on either side of the king dominating the center (which, as any grandmaster would tell you, is a good idea in many instances of endgames or minor piece endgames). The king is emphasized so well in the middle of the club image right over the abbreviation, and the blue color actually provides a peaceful but determined look of the club. The image is simply outstanding, and the craftsmanship is incredible, and its club members are certainly satisfied with the work of the incredible artist behind this work.
In conclusion, clubs are a great way to interact with the Chess.com community, and the club image hopes to convey a sense of meaning and theme to possible new members. The clubs listed above all score extremely high in this metric, and it is great to see what the human mind can come up with in the path to a strong, united community.
