Four Brilliancies, Not By Me…
If you’ve seen my latest Caruana vs Nakamura post you know that I have put two chess computers to fight. However, sometimes computers can be incredibly unintelligent…or incredibly brilliant.
One of the first computers that a new chess.com member will check out is the first bot on the list, the adaptive Jimmy bot (or the Martin bot, or the Maximum bot, etc. etc.) and I put it to the test against Martin. However, Jimmy scored 4 brilliant moves against Martin as White!
Even more surprisingly, they were all in a row, all scored by leaving a rook hanging on b4. Just lately, I received three brilliant moves in a Daily game, but a 600 adaptive bot receives four?!?
This is in a double-round-robin tournament that I am making the bots play in; this was the 7th game of the tournament. Hopefully I can finish before 2022 is over and post the results here!
