Well...I was combing through my blogs and decided to edit up my "Time Controls & Variants" post...when I remembered VC! Unfortunately, I've ben a tad busy recently, so I'm happy to be back!

I was really surprised when I saw Egypt at #3. Getting 10638 points in about 14 months equates to getting about five wins per day! (Remember that VC games can last months or even years.) Moving up past historical heavyweights like Chess Champ and TPOC, continuing at this rate, Egypt will pass Chess School in about two years to become the #1 ranked VC club and the only new one in years.
Chess.com vs ChessKid also moved up, gaining about 5000 points, and is close to Chess Champ; they are only separated by about 250 points.
The UCN moved up 11 places since October 2024 with a gain of about 2500 points, and they are the top 25 VC team that has moved up the most spots since October 2024. Slavic Warriors is second at #25 to #16, an increase of nine spots.
It's nice that almost all of the top 25 clubs are still even a bit active since many of them have existed for years at this point. Also, three new clubs have broken the T25 barrier (assuming I haven't misjudged the new names of clubs): Republic of Noobistan, The Illusion Fireballs, and The Chess Emperors Club. It's great that new clubs or newly reactivated clubs are taking this route towards potential stardom.
(Finally, it's really annoying that copy+paste doesn't work on the "Past Editions" footer anymore 
...I guess a lot has changed in the past year!)
