So it's currently 3 AM in the morning.... I'm trying to pull an all nighter (I leave super early, so gotta be up early, didn't think I'd wake up in time). I was on tactics trainer, got the tactics machine achievement (I'm kind of ashamed of myself and I'm not going to divulge how many that is or how to get it)... but I just thought I'd mention... a good number of the tactics at 2000 (I'd venture a guess of 15-20% conservatively) were only one move solves... with some being 3, and the harder ones were around 5-7 moves... I don't like the fact that some are rated 1900 or something and then it's only one move solves... Reason for this, is sometimes people don't see the win after the move (it just feels right)... so in some cases I didn't know, and I just went with intuition and I was right, but I had no idea why until I turned on the computer... Would be really nice if problems started requiring more play... (maybe it's because it's at 3AM that I don't understand anything) but I did go up from 2000 to 2100, so it's not like I'm completely crazy.

When In Private Chat You send many messages the typing space gets lost and you have to close the chat. It's Great Inconvenience whine chatting.

Whenever I post on any kind of thread or join a club, all of the nonfiction settings are set on and you automatically follow the thread. I think we should have a settling that lets you change these factors.

Hi Beta-Experts, a banned member of my group Oracles, permanently rejoins the last 10 minutes. its a ping pong game, I ban him, he rejoins, I kick him off he rejoins. How can I make sure to get him off my group as he is trolling around?

The same thing as last time. On a Mac, using Safari, and there's no Insert button.

It is nice to be able to set conditional moves on daily games, but if there are one or more obvious moves followed by several options, when creating a new line you have to re-play the obvious moves over again. Can we get a function to add a new line that branches off an existing one, perhaps by right-clicking a move in an existing conditional line, or maybe left-clicking the move and then clicking another button like "New Branch"?

I think it'd be nice if instead of receiving a notification saying "this topic has X new comments" it would also mention if you've been quoted. This way I know if someone is speaking specifically to me or about what I said which is probably more pertinent and may need to be checked first. I do realize this has an issue of either too many notifications for the same post, or lack of notifications (e.g. you don't check it and a bunch of other people post)... so I'm not sure if it'd be better to combine e.g. "you have been mentioned X times" and parenthesis says (X new posts) or "you have been quoted X times in [club] {topic} (new posts)". Other suggestion is more time consuming, but if you identify each comment as a new "id" then it's much easier to follow the conversation so if I click on a link to a discussion page, it would have the ID which would take me directly to either the comment I want to see or the most recent post, or last unread post... I know it's kind of how it works currently, but there's still issues with "last comment" only being taken to last page.

Hi, My daily game board doesnt load anymore. https://www.chess.com/daily/game/187357656 The board appears none of the pieces appear. I've tried from multiple browsers cleaned out cache and nothing help anymore, the only way to access is via phone app. Do you understand the problem? Thx, Skellem

We have already had a thread on this: https://www.chess.com/clubs/forum/view/team-match-result-correction-for-closed-accounts but now the situation has changed again. How are victories of users whose account have been closed due to fair play violation (short: "cheaters") after the end of the game treated in the calculation of the match result? At the moment, this seems just inconsistent to me. This is board #9 from the match https://www.chess.com/club/matches/chess-team-holland/829398: The cheater's win (on time) in the first game is displayed without correction. In contrast, this is board #127 from the match https://www.chess.com/club/matches/chess-team-holland/862438: Here the result in the first game seems to be adjusted to be "0-0" (no idea whether this carries over to the match result). Confusing, isn't it? Both cases seem completely parallel to me. Still, they are treated differently.

In daily chess960 when you first enter a move and then press X-button to cancel, board resets to regular chess position.

I think you should be able to have your most commonly used/favorite trophies on page 1 for all your trophies. If you are a member with 200 people on your friends list and had to wish them all Happy Valentine's Day or something, it would be very convenient to have it on the first page. If you are an admin who had to send 10 trophies in one of your groups, it would be easier to have them on the first page rather than having to go to the last page for the 'Welcome to our group!' trophy. Thoughts?

Hey everyone, have you ever wondered how many games you have won/ lost as each color? I know I have! This is exactly what I am proposing! I think that this could help us improve our chess game a lot! Say you think you are really good at playing white, but you check your stats and see that you have won many more games as black? You can play more games as white, and improve. and you could show how many games you have won/lost by timeout. Another idea is to show how many games you have won/lost by resignation! Anyone else want these features?

Somewhere on chess.com, someone said something about a variant where you can only go forward or sideways, never backwards. I played it with a friend otb, and it was the most fun two-player chess variant I ever played. There all sorts of new tactics, yet to be discovered. One I saw is where you sac a knight on f7/f2 (like in bughouse) and the king can never go back to safety. I think it would be really fun if chess.com could add this to the ways to play. Some questions to consider are: should you be able to check backwards (if your piece is really far forward, and the opposing king is a little too much forwards for their side), if you can't capture back? (My suggestion: no, you can't check back) What happens when you promote, can the new piece only move on the back row? (My suggestion: maybe it should be able to move once and continue from there, or maybe it should appear on the same file just on your first row, not the last.) What do you think?

I thought about this some years ago. Still think it is a nice feature, so I am posting it here. Hi, I'm here to suggest a tiny feature which I think would be a boost at the activity of members at clubs they participate, and would also valorize the clubs as for community participation. This feature is called Club Medal, and it is a very successful — thus one of the most important — features of some gaming communities around the web. I think it would be even more appropriate here, since chess.com relies lots more on community and people. Of course here at chess.com it would be called Club Trophy, instead. How does it work: A member which is active and contributor to a club may receive a Club Trophy to show its efforts are noticed. A Club Trophy is a costumized trophy, made by the club admins. It has its unique design, can be arranged, conceded and created accordingly to the club's ideals. Club Trophies are shown at a distinct category at the Trophies section — they are given by clubs in particular and the admin which gives it might write the reason of the trophy just like a member describes the reason of a Member/Game trophy when he gives it to another member. This feature has an instant impact on the community, and it will help members to get together and have their unique renown inside a club. It might not only reduce the number of ghost members on a club, but also help diminish their burden to the club's active members. I'm looking forward to people who might enjoy this idea.
