I made the game much easier to win for both sides (you can check the king 9 times instead of just flagging), and made it easier to claim a win (no corner queens). Pawn promotion is more practical and meaningful because of the 9-checks.

Knights are the only pieces that can jump between walls, and can give a check to the royal king on the other side. They are the only way to access the dead queens below your army, so you really don't want to lose them. The knights may seem OP, but the 5-checks were enough to get by in most of the testing games (there were a few expectations, though). Time Control- 1 minute with a 1-second increment.
