I was approaching like 10 random GM 's couches on the chess.com platform in the last week, asking whatever they are available to teach, but got 0 replays.
Why do people bother to make these couching posts when they don't even respect you with an answer?

I guess they don't want to share their sofas with just anyone?

Sorry for your experience.  GM's might be too busy...  Try other coaches if interested.  From my prior experience the best coaches don't have to be best players themselves.

Take care friend!

Maybe they caught COVID

Or maybe they’re busy

The number of coaches on this site that don't respond or make a plan and never show up is surprising. From my experience, I'm guessing it's most of them. I've a good one now, but 5 or 6 in a row were just not interested.

unfortunate coincidence it seems

Do not attack chess coaches. I will usualy respond under 24 hours if not sooner. Best regards to all

It's best to search for chess coaches on google instead of chess.com.

Just curious but how much does the average coach- say a NM charge for their services? I'd just like to know what a fair going rate is.

Maybe their having a rest?
Avatar of jjupiter6

If they are having a rest they should say it in their profile rather than ignoring people. It's rude and unprofessional.
