should I study cops to be better at chess ??

I've noticed that cops or to be more specific detectives put in as much work into solving crimes as a top player would do in trying to find the next big novelty. I'm wondering would learning the methods and procedures detectives do to solve a crime be useful to a chessplayer if he applies the same procedure but just to his chess studies make him a better player. I've read that detectives usually spend more time investigating than actualy doing gun fights and that made me think back to when a women master told me that top players spend more time studying than they actually do playing and compared one thing to another etc... Any thoughts ??

Haha, very nice, N2UHC. Maybe one should study cops playing chess. Or, actors playing chess?

You don't need to think so hard. Try not to hurt yourself.

I missed Dr Gilbert Grissom, he was the man!

He played chess on one of the CSI episodes
