Working backwards.

I hate to say this, but it is true. If you search for "chess" in Google, Chess.com pops up. We are in an era where Chess.com is emerging as almost synonymous with chess, like UFC for MMA.

This is bad.

Before that, it was the Age of the Internet, beginning with Yahoo Chess.

Before that, it was it was the Age of Computer starting with Chessmaster 2000.

Before that it was always The Cold War starting with the Soviet Union's dominance in chess.

Before that, nobody really knows, it's so far back.

Hopefully, in the Next Era, we go back to the beginning.

Meetup.com

Chess face-to-face, like it was in the beginning.

And chess will be a Biathlon. Western chess and Chinese chess.

Chinese chess is closer to Chaturanga.

Going back to the beginning.

Like Rocky III.

Botez is bringing chess back to the beginning. Face-to-face in public streets.

There was the age of Fischer. Fischer's victory put chess on the American map.

Use Meetup.com

Play chess face-to-to-face.

In a "brewpub".

With a wooden chess set.

And a wooden windup mechanical clock. 60 minutes on the clock.

Write the moves down with a Preppy® fountain pen.

Like you came straight out of

The Age of Innocence.
