I've got so many hobbies and interests that I can always find something to do. I kayak and backpack in good weather and hike in all weather. I play a little guitar and occasionally make noise with a recorder, harmonica, or keyboard. I play a few old video games but I've mostly given that up. I have a partially built clipper ship kite that I'll start working on again this winter. (https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/vintage-ghost-clipper-kite-mfg-1460530614)

I wander around the planet with Google Earth. I research all kinds of history from prehistoric to semi-modern. I try to understand quantum physics but it puts kinks in my brain. I recently rescued a kitten that insists on her play time no matter what. During this corona crisis I've been learning more recipes. Anyone that likes to eat should learn at least the basics of cooking.

If all else fails I clean the house. But only if all else fails.

Well, OK, I'll list some projects I might get to before I die.

I have a Fidelity chess computer whose sensory board died. I want to get some type of switches, mount them in an old homemade board I have, cover them with a vinyl board and hook them up to the Fidelity circuit board. The circuit board still worked the last I checked, just the membrane playing surface died.

I have several unshaped and unfinished hiking staffs I want to complete someday. One red maple, one red oak, and one American chestnut.

I have 80 - 100 old LPs I want to record to digital but I have to repair my amp first. It has a blown capacitor in the power amp section that creates a nasty 60 Hz buzz.

I bought some wood carving gouges years ago because I want to learn to carve. Maybe someday I will.

I have an old dresser and vanity that need a little work before I can donate them to someone or some organization that needs them. (I'm thinking maybe the battered women's shelter.)

I shouldn't even mention cleaning the garage. It might be easier to just sell it with all contents.

There's more but just thinking about all those projects tires me out. I'll probably just go take a nap.grin.png
