warning of a mute or ban for using icons

Had a warning of a mute or banned account from a mod for very occasional use of  supplied icons, as I really don't use chat during game play ,only two occasions I have used them was when a Pakistani player let the clock run down then came back in the last 3 seconds to resign sent him a crying icon for being a baby and a thumbs down to a russian as I won't play chess with them .Seems strange to threaten a ban for using the supplied icons, maybe if they are so offensive they should remove them .

You shouldn't judge people to their flag, maybe the warning was justified. Just be fair.

Next time, maybe don't use any icons and stay "calm"

Yes well have to admit I don't like the French either.

That's how Life works. You can't like everybody.

But at least be nice to the people. Make Chess.com a nice place (i totally agree as the fact that people sandbagging are really toxic but just report them and then it's done)

It's not the fact that he used them, it's how he used them. Read through the OP's post for an explanation.

Lots of snowflakes out there.  I agree a mute or ban for a thumbs down or crybaby icon smiley?  They need to take a better look before they go warning people just because some sore sport lost and whined about it.  I agree.  Threats or vulgar language sure, but they will warn you if anyone complains about anything it seems even if they started it or said way worse things.  They need to research the room chat before they even send a message or email.  Usually those complaining are the instigators, or just sore losers.
