Battle animation bug

There is a race condition with the "Battle" animations.
This happens on Daily chess where you have to confirm your move.
If you take a piece, one of several animations occur. The animation where the taken piece flies away and fades out has a small bug
If this animation happens, and part-way through it, you click the board to reset your piece, the "taken" piece will not reappear on the board in its original position.
I have replicated this on Google Chrome Version 57.0.2987.110 (64-bit) and Firefox 52.0.1 (64-bit) (both current as of this writing).
This bug does not appear to affect the actual game mechanics, just the rendering.
