I was wondering about maximum points that were gained during winning.Somehow I was thinking that 100 points are max, but recently I got 107 points. Please share your maximum points that you got in 4x4 game.
Ratings are falling apart both as a concept and as symbolic numbers... Real chess don't have the luxury of being entirely digital and FIDE keep pushing more and more worthless titles while the standard once are left in the dirt due to inflation. What 4PC could do to have some kind of moral high ground and at least keep the numbers symbolic value, would be to lower everyone each year with either a set amount or so that the highest starting rating would be 3000. This would put the top 20 into more of a relatable range. This would put some value into the symbolic 2400+ and 2500+ ques and games that are the most common format for open high-rated games. To have the numbers/ratings that people have in their mind as being high ratings could also help with lower the insults and bad manners. As fake and hollow as the numbers are, it not really fair to blame people for thinking they might be quite good at the game if they qualify to play more or less the highest games that gets posted to the lobby. and 2400+ 2500+ has strong symbolic values from real chess as bars for the high titles there. But those are already losing ground in real chess as for quite long already the use of "Super GM" are used to point out just how far behind the title is to the top players of the game. So does 4PC suffer from players feeling the need to tell each other that even high ratings are low compared with what someone else got: "Oh you think your 2500 rating is good, well you nothing compared to my 2750" -> "Naa your 2750 rating suck, you need to reach my 3000 rating to be any good" -> "That is cute you would say that but actually only us at 3200-3400 know anything about this game" to try put a comedy twist to how the mentality of chats about what rating suppose to be a good one. It might not help anything much at all, and people probably like their big numbers way more than they dislike inflation. But if it was implemented I think everything would be a few % better and it would probably lower the aim for ridiculous numbers.

For the growth and future of 4pc experimentation with the rules should be taking place. We are the founders of this game and there is no reason why any of the current rules should be set in stone. For example, for the first couple of years of FFA there was no en passant . Then this changed. Is it better with or without? Who knows, but can we be sure that the current set of rules we have are the best for playing FFA? I am calling for the option of changing of some rules to be added to rated games. As of now changing any rules results in the game becoming casual and it is impossible to get a game started. This means no experimenting can take place. There are a few options that should be added to current rated games. 1) Capture the king ( regicide) . This option makes teaming and checkmates more difficult slowing the rate of first player elimination down. 2) No en passant. Removing en passant makes it easier to close the position on side players . This makes for more closed pawn structures and more positional type games where pawns can have more of an influence and less tactical team mode type games. 3) King value. Changing the king value can put more emphasis on the importance of giving checkmates and piece trades.

Hello. I do not often complain about 4pc, since I think it has issues but they will be worked out eventually. But the incredible and unfair abort imbalance is unnecessary. For example, a 2400 I had abort a game with me lost 2.3 rating. Reasonable, right? A penalty, but hey, maybe they had to leave suddenly. Meanwhile, I abort the same game and lose 10-20 points. what part of this is fair? I am higher rated, so I have less privilege to leave a game if something happens? I think that aborts should be a set amount overall, like say -5. It could maintain the system of increased cost if you abort many games in a row, but still based on set values for everyone. There's really no reason a high rated player should lose more. Thank you.

I am sorry I used the offensive chat, next time I will only use the defensive chat. I am sorry for freely expressing my honest feelings to other players, it was wrong of me. I will not do it again, next time I will self censor myself before I make the offensive chat and hide my true feelings I have about other players. I will craft a false persona so duplicitous and pretend that I have the utter most joy and admiration for all chess.com players, when in reality my true feelings do not match. In this world everyone says to just be yourself, but to not offend chess.com I will make an exception. We get to graciously play chess at the behest of a website that hides the flags of certain countries. And for that I want to thank chess.com and warn other players before you make the mistake I made of being your honest and genuine self, please stop yourself before you make any verboten thought crimes that could severely rustle the jimmies of any other players. Life is too short to have honest conversations with each other. Certain letter combinations or vocalizations could cause shock and dismay and cause some to start literally shaking right now. So do not use your dictionaries to their full extent and only use approved words that are politically correct with the current administration. Also try to keep up to date on which words or letters are now unapproved. We at chess.com love diversity but not diversity of thought. I will try in the future to be as domesticated and testosterone free as a user as I can possibly be.So I want to repeat, I am really really really really really really really really really really really really super dupie sowwie with cherries on top and will never never never never never never never never never think about being my honest and genuine and truthful unfiltered self again for as long as I live on chess.com.Thank you and once again, please try to use the defensive chat before you think about making an offensive chat.

Something for admin to consider. Some players use the player blocking function because they don't like other players style of play, which has nothing whatsoever to do with the game of chess. This function is the equivalent of cancel culture and is detrimental to the game. People should stop being so pathetic and over sensitive. Blocking should be limited to 24 hrs then automatically cancelled. Any thoughts on this proposal. Thanks. C_V_C_V

Dear 4 Chess players There has to be a way to stop the offensive language in 4 p. chess. Today someone said something offensive in the chat box in 4-chess: "like your mama and all those 'D-word'"! There has to be a way. Plz add your opinion on this topic (if you have one).

Yesterday I blocked 2 players and today both of them got paired to me in the same game in Standard anonymous FFA 2400+. This is really strange.

i protest that i have suffered from the situation frequently and lost large amount of scores,and the system did not view that i am lossing connection! in case of this event,i suggest that if one is disconnected,the game must be ended immediately without score change.but is one disconnecting,is except here. for monitrring the net situation,set a net checker to monitor players'net。

In variants that include torpedoo we can double push pawns always. Consider position below where red and yellow are teams and blue is opponent. blue and yellow double push respectively then we get the following position as you can see in the screen shot red can move diagonally because blue double push the pawn and you can enpassnt it but after you make the move the blue pawn doesn't get captured! But if yellow pawn weren't double push it would work correctly. Please fix thankss Also there is a cool interaction if both yellow and blue are opponent to red. Red can enpassant both pawns. You can actually capture two pawns in 1 move !

I believe this has been a problem for a very long time and still not fixed. In this position yellow can not play Kb10 or Kb11. Blue has already resigned/timed out, so it should not be considered to be in check by the blue king.
right now i`ve seen many phenomena like it,especially one sent a queen but others don`t have it and kept it safe.I offer a piece of suggestion here. my suggesion is to input rule of cheskers"you must have chessmen,and you must have the most valuable one"in sone situations,in order to prevent these teammative men. said the rule: 1.one must have a chessnan with not suppose. 2.when youe chessman can have at least 2 others`chessmen withoue suppose,no matter whose,whether they are protected,you must have the most valuable one(you may not do it when the mosy valuable chessmen is the same value as yours,but you must have the next one in value.,you can also use bishop to have rook.) 3.when you have two+ chessmen attacking chessmen,you must use your most unvaluable one tu have the most valuable one. 4.checkmate is higher than other having.having king and checkmate will be seen as the same.player must do it. 5.in my advice,when red moved,others cannot sacrifice chessmen to threaten red except green,and it is unallowed that players have red`s chessmen together without a check. is it necessary?please talk.
