On May 16, all support for chess.com/variants will be ended. I have been notified of this by the admin team and they are working on making an official announcement.
After the server support is ended, all 40 million games will be deleted. Chess.con says that this will free up over 2 terabytes of data and help the site run faster… but I think it’s time to move to the “L” website…

i was happy when i heard they was bringing back the solo mode, as i thought FFA would get back to +3 +1 -1 -3 score, but i've seen solo mode is there, and FFA is still another solo mode where 2nd place worth nothing
please make FFA a real FFA mode again

I think it can be interesting to discuss typical openings in 4players chess. For example, I noticed that the following openings are the most frequent (at least for 2000-2400 players with who I usually play):
1) Making a queen with d2->d4+further propagation, or more rare variations with c or e pawns2) Teaming opening with e2-e3 to get the queen out (with similar defense with moving c2 pawn to attack c pawn of the player who moved her queen)3) Two knights opening, when one of the knights can be used to block pawn in the center4) Indian opening to harass the player who moves before you with knight+bishop check (or at least distract her)5) a2-a4 or h2-h4 openings
6) Some other ones that I forgot to mention?
For the last one, I do not understand the idea. Even though I saw it even done by 24xx+ rated players. I am curious to know what its intention is? Moving the rock out?

I'm spectating a game today and I realize the arrows look a little strange so I drag one myself and sure enough the arrows are messed up. Has anyone else got this issue too? Or is it just me?

it happend to one of my friends, who blocked a person after being a partner with them in a game. Then both of those guys were partners again, while the one was blocked. The reason could be the fact, that it was anonymus game, but why didn't it work? If I block somene, then that someone is blocked???

The lowest possible winning FFA score I would assume is 28 (3 way stalemate for 7, mate for 20, capture 1 pawn for 1 pt, and claim vs an opponent who only scored 7), but maybe its less, not sure. I just won with 42 curious to know if anyone else has a winning score that is lower.

if you don't know, autoclam is a feature that exist to prevent you from drawing or losing 1st place in ffa gamemodes, more commonly in chaturaji.
In more basic terms, autoclaim is the game instantly pressing the claim button for you to make you win. It removes the control of actions from the player and instantly wins the game for whoever gets autoclaimed, its annoying for me, even when it autoclaims me as winner, example of autoclaimed game: https://www.chess.com/variants/chaturaji/game/28692686
i got autoclaimed when i wanted to play on (attempt to beat the 2000).
and thats why i ask: why autoclaim exists???
