This is used when you want a match to start on a specific date.  Chess.com has a help topic how to set up a tournament and I have screenshot the part about auto start.Admin wants us to set up matches properly and it's inappropriate to go against the TD

Registration is now open for the 2024 U1300 League. It will close on 24th March. In 2024 we will continue with the league structure for the U1300 competition, with 5 divisions. Teams will be placed in divisions based on 2023 league positions. Any new teams will start in the lowest Division. The top 2 teams in each division will be promoted, and the bottom 2 relegated. Any team can opt to play in a lower division, please indicate any wishes below. The minimum number of players for a match will be: Division 1: 3 players Division 2: 3 players Division 3: 3 players Division 4/5: 2 players Matches will start on the 7th of each month.
