This is used when you want a match to start on a specific date.  Chess.com has a help topic how to set up a tournament and I have screenshot the part about auto start.Admin wants us to set up matches properly and it's inappropriate to go against the TD

Registration is now open for the 2024 U1300 League. It will close on 24th March. In 2024 we will continue with the league structure for the U1300 competition, with 5 divisions. Teams will be placed in divisions based on 2023 league positions. Any new teams will start in the lowest Division. The top 2 teams in each division will be promoted, and the bottom 2 relegated. Any team can opt to play in a lower division, please indicate any wishes below. The minimum number of players for a match will be: Division 1: 3 players Division 2: 3 players Division 3: 3 players Division 4/5: 2 players Matches will start on the 7th of each month. The results and tables can be found by clicking this link: CC23 League Results The minimum number of players for a division 5 match is 4 but please aim for more. The aim is for 3 teams to be promoted at the end of the season. Usually there will be one match per month, the fixtures will be published in December. Challenges should be sent only after the instruction is received in a news item. This will usually be sent on the 26th of the previous month and the start date for matches will be set at 7th of the month. An exception to this will be the first fixture in December, and March where there will be 2 matches scheduled. Either team can send the challenge. If a team does not have enough players on the day the match is due to start then they will be given an extra 48 hours to find the extra players. After this time has elapsed, the match will be defaulted and the points awarded to the opposition, if both teams fail to get enough players both teams will default.
