I just got a message that one of my recent losses the points were refunded. I checked and it was the last match I played in today's Rapid Open tournament. I'm curious, what does this mean for the USCF ratings?

I was playing the U1450 15/10, finished the second round, decided to close my email and google closed. Could somebody get me back? I still have time for the next round

Can a USCF affiliated club with a Club TD, have impromptu (or spur of the moment) USCF rated tournaments or do they all have to be published in advance?

I just achieved a USCF rating of 2200 on the dot, however on my USCF profile, it still says I am in the 1st category. Do I need to wait for my 2200 rating to get published(monthly published) in order to get the title on my profile?

Recently, I played against an Indian chess account while I was playing my opponent got a better position and had attack going on then all of sudden my opponent typed "gg" even though the game haven't ended. Then after I made my move he typed "i see it" in the chat then he typed "lmao I want to see you crying" in the chat not knowing what to do I resigned from the game and reported him to chess.com for trash talking. My question is that, will he get banned?

What was the biggest rating inflation between USCF and chess.com rating you have ever seen? (Pls do not specify username) I've once seen some one who has a chess.com rating of 2033 and USCF rating of 1002.
I'm playing in my first regular OTB tournament in September with a time control of 60/+30s. Any tips for playing well and staying focused that you'd like to share?

How does this club rate their tournaments with the USCF? How do they submit the data from the tournaments?

What chess scorebooks do you all use in tournaments? Thanks, Pere

Hi, I played in the U1450 15 | 10 Rapid on July 28. It appears I was the only one in the tournament who hasn't gotten a rating. My USCF membership expires on December 31st so it's not a membership issue. Maybe I have to play a certain number of tourneys to get one? I don't have a provisional rating or anything. I had played in an OTB tourney some time last year and on tourney history it says I got a rating but the rating appears as "Unrated" on my USCF page. Am I just stupid?

Last night, I had a very weird nightmare. I dreamt that somebody had bought chess.com and turned it into a video game streaming site. What's weird is that on the surface, it looks exactly like chess.com, with the usual buttons and links on the homepage. But when I click "play", instead of getting a chess game, I get directed to a live video game (kind of like Twitch). For the record, I am happy/relieved that was just a dream

Hi, I played in the U1450 Rapid tourney on Friday and was just wondering where I could check if it has been rated yet. Sorry if someone has already asked this before. I tried searching it up on the forums but was unable to find anything.

I played this game earlier this evening. I had the black pieces, and my opponent resigned after 11 moves. Granted, my opponent is much lower-rated than me. But considering that this is bullet (which I suck at), I'm still pretty proud of this game; this is my first 100 percent game ever.

Hey, so I am going to be participating in my first US chess tournament this August. As is customary, I have to bring my own board and clock. Usually wouldn't be an issue. However, I am stuck on the clock side of things. The time control for the tournament is something like 40 moves in 80 minutes, then the rest in 30 minutes, with a US delay of 30 seconds throughout. Does anyone have any suggestions on clocks that I could purchase that support this time control?
The way these puzzles work is there will always be one, and only one, completely losing move. Once you make the first move for white (white is always the side you're playing) the computer takes over for you, so you need to play as terribly as possible. Some moves may be bad, but this move either allows a forced checkmate or loses a ton of material. The puzzles start easy but get harder and harder as time goes on. If there's any error in these, please tell me! Edit: The goal is to lose as fast as possible. Also fixed #2. Only four for now, but maybe more coming soon?
