I won't be nominating you personally because you really seem like a "nice guy". You don't troll people and It's not bad seeing your comments in the forums. You are unselfish.

Now, it is up to the community to decide which of these members is most deserving of the title of Troll of the Month, based on the threads and comments that they have been nominated for. The rules of this stage of the contest are listed out in the first post of the nominations thread, with the only change being that the voting period will last for 14 days, instead of the previously proposed 7 days. To summarize, each chess.com member may cast one vote, and at the end of the voting period, the nominee with the greatest number of votes will be declared the winner. Also, please note that nominations for the contest have already closed, so no new nominees may be added onto the ballot. The only members that are competing in the contest are the 10 nominees on the ballot.

I'm generally more of a (hopefully) funny, light-hearted troll than a hardcore troll (which is my way of describing trolls that most people would describe as annoying, insulting, obnoxious....). Some people don't consider lighthearted trolls like me real trolls, but imo both types of trolls are important in the chess.com community, and they play different roles that cannot be replaced by each other. I've noticed that many great hardcore trolls on chess.com evetually end up either banned or tamed, and it makes me sad, but I reailze that it's not my job to replace them, since I would do the job very poorly. It's better if I stick to what I'm good at, which is light-hearted trolling.

This month contest was a duello between light-hearted trolling and heavy-socks trolling. Let's hope there will be some rotation.

Who was doing the heavy socks trolling ?

For you must  understand that  my knowledge does indeed transcend even  a program designed by the top computer programmers of the top, most innovative company in this world. I will give you an analogy, brah, to try and attenuate the complexity of my words, brah, a chess analogy at that. A GM playing a 400 rated player can understand every effacious possibility that the (400 rated)player hopes to achieve, thus victory is an eventuality. However, a 400 rated player will probably never be able to comprehend  the subtleties of each move of the GM. To put it in layman's terms, on the dichotomy of genius and sub-par intelligence(SPI) the genius can understand the thought process of  SPI, but may not concur with the reasons behind the thought process (this is  why a smart person can teach or take advantage of one with less intelligence, in theory). However, the SPI may never be able understand the thought process of a genius, because he if could he would then change his thought process (utility theory).

Thus, my disciple, you have given me the greatest honour of saying that a computer program cannot understand the prespicaciousness and abstractness of my arguments, thus the ONLY logical conclusion is that I am the highest intellectual in the universe, because based on your quote if i was an idiot then this computer program would have been surely  able to understand me.  For if a computer program formulated by top programmers fails to understand me, how can you, my kayaking friend.

...

In this world of withheld permissions may you fly higher than my intellectual level.

Wow... that was actually pretty deep. Letsgohome, I have to admit, when I'm reading your posts and I'm trying to guess how old you are, sometime I feel like you're, like, 10 years old, and other times I feel like you're a pretty intelligent, even wise guy. The post that I just quoted is definitely an example of the latter. I don't know if you really know about the SPI and all that stuff you wrote about, or if you did research on it before writing that comment, or even if you just came up with it off the top of your head and it's not even real, but either way, that was a really deep and intellectual response. Kudos to you brah!

PS: That said, I'm still more a fan of your non-intellectual, obnoxious and persistent trolling.

lol. Yes everything is off the top of my head, since you should know that I am not a proponent of correspondence "trolling". As for my age, I am between 3 months - 99 years old, for anyone assuming that I am under the age of 3 months is completely absurb. In this world of withheld permissions may you fly higher than the skies.

Conratulations Sebleb. You da man, uh, well....I mean...sorta. Well you know what I mean. Keep trollin' along.............

Macer there's a catchy old western tune that would work as a theme song for the troll of the month competition. Something like "trollin'....trollin'....trollin'....rawhide. Hya!"

This one is from the two comedians Dan Akroyd & John Belushi.

SEBLEB???? OH NO!!

I replace my vote for Harryz - now it's for you macer!!

Frown

macer75

Sry, unfortunately you cannot do that because:

1. This is the Oct. 2013 contest, and voting has already ended.

2. You're posting on the wrong thread - Harryz wasn't on the ballot for the October contest. The thread for the November contest is here:

http://www.chess.com/forum/view/off-topic/vote-now-for-chesscom-troll-of-the-month---nov-2013

3. You haven't voted yet in the November contest, so you can't "change" your vote.

4. Even if you had voted already, the rules for the Nov. contest clearly specify that you cannot change your vote once you have posted it.
