Day 10Day 11Day 12Day 13Day 14Day 15Day 16,

Day 17Day 18Day 19

 My goals:

1. I want to study chess in an organized way. I hope 21 days of organized study of the course will build my habit to create and follow my study plans after the course finished.
2. I want to win a Titled tuesday tournament in 2016
3. I want to win a Death match in 2016
4. I want to be one of  the top 10 rated blitz (3-5 minutes game) player on chess.com
The structure of the study of Day 20 was the following:

- Theoretical section:

Today I learnt the different strategies to play in stable and in unstable positions:

In a stable position:

we should concentrate on positional factors and we need to improve the position according to the structure. If we have an advantage, we need to attack to not lose the advantage.

If our position is worse, then we should defend and try to find ways for a counter-attack. Active defense is nearly always better than passive defense.

In an unstable position:

We should calculate concrete variations and we need to try to win a piece and gain positional advantage and convert the position to a stable position to realize the advantage and win the game.

Master game:

Today's game showed a good preparation and a sacrifice to open the king's position in the right time:

Tactics:

Today's theme was the destroying the defense.

I share 2 beautiful examples:

Endgame:

This endgame showed the power of the knight:

Conclusions of the Day 20 of the

1. We learnt key strategies in the stable and in the unstable positions.
2. In today's master game we looked a well prepared attack with a sacrifice to open the opponent's king position.
3. I solved puzzles about destroying the defense of the king.
4. In today's endgame we learnt how important to search for tactics of the knights.

I decided to follow how much time I use every day for the study and monitor the total time used too.
