A Nice Blitz Experience

   Hello Chess Lovers,
A friend of mine who is one of the members of a local chess club encouraged me to play in friday night blitz event taken place in his club. Even though I do not have enough confidence in my OTB Blitz strength, I accepted his kind invitation and decided to participate in this experience. The games would not be counted as rated so I felt more relieved to take part inhappy.png After playing some games I thought that I had became too merciless to myself for that issue. I was a part of an exciting and different story for yesterday's event though.
In part of my daily chess study, I was looking some games for white side of the Modern Opening. As a 1.d4 and London player, The Modern Opening  was one of my achilles heel and I had some doubts on how to play against it. Luckily enough I had taken a look at a game which was well-played by white and I liked the line played in that game. Let's look at that first:
Interestingly, I had the chance to use the line in one of my games played yesterday. I was playing White and my opponent was 11 years old (16 years younger than me) and strong enough for his age (His OTB rating is 1804). It turned into an intuitive more than calculation-based blitz game for me though. Let's have a look at this game.
I played 3 games with him and he beat me with a 2-1 score. But I don't remember the games that I had lost happy.png Then we decided to play Baby Chess after these instructive games and finished the day with good memories.
I hope that you enjoyed my little experience guys.
  Stay with chess,
  Cagdas.
