this is a game where i used my favorite opening. It was one of my first matches with it.Hope you enjoy.
I have never been able to pin this down but my chess is wildly inconsistent. For instance, today, i know i dropped 50 points on ICC in fifteen minute games. Whereas two days ago i was close to 1700 (probably fell bellow 1600 earlier today). I roll on over to chess.com, do some tactics trainer, and think to myself, why not a live game. I love getting even more madder at myself. I present a BDG. Just odd. am i a lazy player? i don't think i am, i love chess, but how can i play one way one day and another way on another day? Anyone ever experience this before?

Still scoring fairly well with the Latvian and King's so far, and now I've started playing the Calabrese Gambit which goes 1. e4, e5, 2. Bc4, f5!?

I don't know all of the ins and outs of the Danish Gambit yet, but had a great time with it on my first try.My most obvious mistake is not playing Bxf7+ at the correct time. Even with some terrible errors on my part, and one game ending error I made that my opponent missed, I had sufficient momentum to prevail in the end. The swift attacking possibilites are amazing.

A few King's Gambits and Soller Gambits by moi. Enjoy!

I've come to regard any pawn or piece sac at any point in a game as a gambit, and so here is a Nimzo-Indian game I played where I sacrificed two pawns in exchange for making my rooks active. I was able to regain the pawns and win a piece with my better development!

I've recently gotten on one of my attacking spells where I try more aggressive openings instead of my normal solid, positional choices. Here are some that I won.

In round 5 of the chess olympiad there was a Latvian gambit going on, played by Philip Corbin of Barbados . The move order is actually pretty weird (1.Nf3 f5?! 2.e4? e5??, wtf...) http://ugra-chess.com/liveboard?gameid=1001050474&ln=en

Hello Gang, i just finished annotating a game of mine against the Sokolsky Gambit (1.b4 e5 2.Bb2 f6 3.e4), for all those who are interested, here is the link: http://blog.chess.com/sirprim/hunting-the-next-orang-utan-with-the-sokolsky-gambit Greetings, sirprim
I would like to participate in more team matches, but it seems that most are 3 days/move or shorter. School will be starting soon for me, and I just don't have the time to play too many games with shorter time controls. But if anyone wants to make some longer matches, I'm ready to play some gambits!

Here are a couple games that I played against a friend recently in live chess. The first was a King's Gambit, the Bertin Gambit extension. The second was the Duras Gambit. I won both. :)

In both games, i played black. The Petrov game i really enjoy. Why? Because people think the Petrov is a drawing weapon and nothing more, but this doesn't have to be the case. Black has his own trappy avenues worth exploring. Anyway, game on. and my greatest win ever...
I bombed this game and was quite upset with myself. Hahhah. I needed this game to advance to the final round of the tournament and totally threw it away. I haven't had a chance to analyze my self but I let FireBird 1.31 do it with Fritz11. ~Boog

A whole mess of Danishes and Half-Danishes. Surprisingly, all were wins! the first few were all against the same guy, so that's why Black's rating got progressively lower. The last set were some unrated games against a friend.

WHO HERE LIKES THE BONG-CLOUD OPENING?!
Here's an even faster win with the Half Danish. The resignation was premature in my opinion, but black was still clearly worse.

Here's a recent game I won with the Half Danish!

A recent group of victories brought to me by the King's Gambit!

Lately, me and the king's gambit aren't doing too well together which is probably a statement edging on blasphemy in these forums. Strike me down, please. I'm looking for a few different opening ideas. I like the Blackmar-Diemer and can often transpose to it via the french or caro, and i know how to attack in those lines. I'm a little leary about playing d4 because i'm not sure where to go after Nf6, and i'm not a fan of the queen's gambit, which isn't really a gambit. The smith-morra is serving me well these days, but i've never sat down with the Danish Gambit before. What about openings like b4, and g4? Something off the wall and sharp is what i want. Appreciate your thoughts and recomendations. -Gim
