Sorry guys I had no idea they would lock the threads if a person talks about religion.

It is not only discussion about religion, it is also spamming the forums, which is also against Chess.com policy.
You can go back and delete comments that you have created - I have done this instead, but next time you will need to do it yourself, or your account's ability to post content will be restricted.

David (Staff) I think it was you who commented in the "Trysts" thread(now locked for some reason)about the "Swastika"image I posted.I explained that that was the original design going back historically to Sanskrit and long before it was polluted by the Nazis. There was also an inscription stressing peace etc.You commented after(presumably because some sensitive little blossom who couldn't distinguish between the two types came running to the MODS.)Your comments were to the effect that my posting was non-contraversial on the basis that I was merely dealing with the historical origins of the symbol-I recall your words were "let it be".I now see that you have removed the image.Given the context in which I posted it--WHY????I specifically made reference to the corrupters of the symbol as Nazi scumbags. My specific posting was as I see it neither religion nor politics. Can you please explain>i look forward with great interest.

It was removed in response to the complaint by @badenwurtca made later in the thread. And really, the historical appropriation of the image by the Nazi regime did not need a visual aid to make the same point.

On the contrary, posting the same thing in multiple threads where the content is unrelated to the original topic is spam, and not acceptable behaviour here on this site, irrespective of the content. The fact that the post was also religious in nature compounded that issue - it would be the same as if someone went and posted "Allahu Akbar!" in the twenty most recent forum topics - if you'd like to promote Christianity, the Open Discussion club is where this is allowed: fair warning, though, that club is mostly unmoderated and discussion gets pretty robust.
