Chess.com App version: 1.936Android version: 2.3.5 Go into tactics. Complete one. Stop. Go to analysis. Exit and complete the puzzle after it starts again. When done you get a pop-up with "Daily Limit Exceeded" This doesn't actually prevent me from continuing, just something I noticed while playing over a tactic variation today. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it does it every time for me.
Hi, new to the app and the forum. I'm wondering if tis is the area to ask for app changes. If it is, I propose that the notifications make a noise (optional in settings). I also notice that the notification rarely works and I find myself constantly owning the app to check if its my move. Thanks .
Hello, I am a big fan of the Android App (actually I bought my phone just so I can play turn based chess during my commute). One thing I would love is the ability to 'star' a game I particularly like for future review. What happens today is that I might up finishing 10 game sbefore logging online and then not recalling which one to look back at.
Android Version: 2.3.7Chess.com Version: 1.946 When in Online Chess or Tactics Trainer, hitting the Back button causes the application to crash. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and the behavior remains. Just started after today's update.

To developers: One of the reasons why I chose android was because I enjoy using hardware buttons for a lot of navigation instead of the touch screen. I feel like this app does not embrace this. For example, to access settings anywhere, one must awkwardly click on the bottom left corner, while simply pressing the "menu" hard button would be easier. The back button is also buggy (as another poster mentioned). I would appreciate it if the devs could add this in a future update. Thanks!
When a game ends by checkmate or resignation through an opponent's action, it immediately falls off the "Current Games" listing. It would be nice if there was an option so ended games could stay on the "Current Games" listing until viewed or dismissed.
I am a paying member to Chess.com. Why do I have to see ads in the app?

Updated to the latest version of the Android app yesterday and it looks like the board is not flipping correctly dependent on whether I'm white or black. This is maybe the 3rd or 4th time I've seen this issue in the Android application. As a fellow software developer, I find it surprising that an application in this day and age can contain so many regression bugs. Every few days there seems to be a new release, not with new features but with bug fixes. I certainly haven't noticed this habit with the chess.com site, the site is always quick and responsive, always renders well across various browsers, and I rarely see any bugs. This would certainly indicate a different approach between the 2 teams There are techniques that should be used to address this situation. A quick google for "automated android testing" reveals a bunch of suitable frameworks for regression testing, including an android driver for the popular selenium. As a paying customer, I would recommend taking the time to implement a suite of regression tests to help improve the quality of the android app.

First, I'd like to say thanks for a great app. The Chess.com android application is a great tool, and I use it more often than probably any other application on my phone. Keep up the good work! My only minor annoyance: when I go to "Play Online", the app does not remember my previous selection. It often sends me to "Challenges", which is often a blank list, rather then sending me to "Current Games". It's not a big deal, but when I try and check my current games upwards of ten times a day, it gets a little tiresome to have to click over all the time. I'm on a Motorola Droid, with Android v2.2.2.

I play live chess & sometimes reconnect. When it is connected & its time my opponent had to move but he did not move until time is up. but in fact i considered resign. Why like that? I use htc desire s with last update cc application.
luckily i wasn't in any no-vacation tourneys, but i accidentally hit the vacation button, and it took immediately - no verification at all, just *pop* on vacation. as it's in the main settings menu, could it have a pop-up verification, please? thanks!

Using Chess.com 1.91 Android app on a Samsung Galaxy S II (android version 2.3.3 stock). I am currently a platinum member, so should have unlimited tactical puzzles according to the membership screen on the website. The app always limits my tactical puzzles and offers me a dialog popup to advance my membership to perform more daily tactical puzzles.

Hi! I have simple idea to ease the piece navigation. Problem: Chess for phones need atleast 4.3" screen for comfortable thumb navigation. Anything smaller will make us beg for a capacitive STYLUS :( Reason: It's because our fat thumb covers the selection cursor when we DRAG the piece! Current Implementation almost works but not yet there: I love the current chess.com idea where a magnified piece pops at the tip of our thumb when we DRAG that piece. But the problem is the actual cursor still remained covered under our thumb which makes navigation hard :(. Easy Solution: When we DRAG a piece, the cursor should be transfered at the TIP of our thumb instead of under it. That way the Piece along with the cursor sits visibly on our thumb anywhere we take it without obstruction. Example Usage: Hold the Queen with the thumb; the queen Pops visibly on top of your thumb; not just the queen but also the selection cursor transfers to the top of your thumb; Drag your thumb and the piece along with cursor follows; That should work as effectively on small screens. Thanks
The latest version of the Android app promises that subscribers/premium users will never see the advertisements. Unfortunately, we do see them

Please can you get into the habit of providing a changelog for new versions? Even if it's just "Minor bug fixes", it helps users decide whether to upgrade to the new version. After the shock of sounds, which you were very quick to issue a new version to correct, Android app users may be reluctant to upgrade their existing working app until they can be sure it's something worth having. It's also hitting your app market ranking, because several of the commentators have deliberately given you low ratings solely because there's no changelog. So, what has changed in 1.67?

I got a draw offer yesterday, and when I tapped on the game in the current games list, the app prompted me to accept or reject the draw offer, without showing me the board. There seemed to be no way to see the board before deciding on the draw.

The latest version in the market enabled sounds and there is no way to turn them off. There needs to be a way to configure this or this needs to be removed.
I really like your Android app, but can you update the app to make able to turn off vacation mode? If you already have, how do I get off vacation mode? P.S. Will future updated chess.com apps be avaliable in Android Market?
