So the Variant server suggestion is to add 2 player chess version 2 (A 2 player variant in 4pc chess. Basically levels up all the basic pieces to fairy pieces which are better versions of the normal pieces) in the variant server! I want the fairy pieces in 4pc to get more popular so I was thinking this might be a good way to introduce fairy pieces to people.
Introducing:
Acceleration Chess!!!
So in Acceleration Chess, the setup is the same, but you have this cool skill called Acceleration! Acceleration makes you able to move twice in one turn. You can use it three times in a game and you have to wait three turns to use it again.
At this point, some of you might be thinking: Wait a minute. This skill is too OP!!
Well, I thought so too and I made some rules for acceleration to make it less OP.
Rule number 1: You can not move the same piece twice in Acceleration.
This rule makes the acceleration skill less OP obviously. For example, because of this rule, you can not play 1. e4 e5 2. bc4 nc6 3. Use acceleration and Qf3 (or Qh5) Qxf7 checkmate
However, it doesn't mean that you can't move the same type of piece twice. You can still move the same type of piece twice when you use acceleration skill.
Rule 2: You have to move the King out of check first when using acceleration
If your king is in check and you use acceleration, you have to move the king out of check first in the first move of the acceleration. This way, you can not avoid a checkmate if it has already happened in the last move of the opponent.
Extra section: Discoveries
In this variant, discoveries to the king will be deadly because your opponent can just move the piece that's going to set up a discovery in the first move of the Acceleration and just capture your king. Always be careful of discoveries. This applies to both normal chess and Acceleration Chess.
