Hi Musketeer Chess is being added to the Pychess server. For the moment, the AI doesn't work well, but it's possible to play human vs human games. Please try it and give feed back on Musketeer Chess and eventual bugs you can find. https://musketeer-chess.herokuapp.com/ Please create a game chosing Play with a friend (the AI doesn't work well for the moment). Then you will have a new window that appears with a link to share with your friend. Once your friend joins the game can start. You can either login using a Lichess nickname or login anonymously. Thanks Zied

When left 2 players, Resign shown as Claim Win makes people confuse: Also means you could win the game immediately. So I want the function to switch to 'Resign'.

I guess the player whose turn it would be would win, as he got stalemated. Still a quite funny scenario

CAPTURE EVERYTHING: king has no royal power, no castling, capture all enemy pieces to win
I've had several games now where the server would not let me move at all, such as this one: https://www.chess.com/variants/atomic/game/14641574 I've tried moving multiple pieces and every time I did it would make a sound effect, but then the move wouldn't go through. I was able to keep chatting, and my messages would show up in chat as well as my opponent's messages, so I know it wasn't that I was disconnected from the server. I tried making a move, clicking on other pieces to make other moves, opening the game in a new tab, refreshing, etc. Nothing worked. So far this has happened in maybe 3 of the last 200 games I've played. Twice I think my opponents were nice enough to resign because it happened in positions they were dead lost, but here I didn't get so lucky. I've talked to others who seem to have this problem as well. Does anyone have a fix, or at least a work around since refreshing doesn't work?

I was thinking that just as n-check is a generalization of 3-check, as a generalization of King of the Hill could be King of the Custom Squares, in which the one creating a game could customize what squares a king getting to would get points or win the game.

So the Variant server suggestion is to add 2 player chess version 2 (A 2 player variant in 4pc chess. Basically levels up all the basic pieces to fairy pieces which are better versions of the normal pieces) in the variant server! I want the fairy pieces in 4pc to get more popular so I was thinking this might be a good way to introduce fairy pieces to people. Introducing: Acceleration Chess!!! So in Acceleration Chess, the setup is the same, but you have this cool skill called Acceleration! Acceleration makes you able to move twice in one turn. You can use it three times in a game and you have to wait three turns to use it again. At this point, some of you might be thinking: Wait a minute. This skill is too OP!! Well, I thought so too and I made some rules for acceleration to make it less OP. Rule number 1: You can not move the same piece twice in Acceleration. This rule makes the acceleration skill less OP obviously. For example, because of this rule, you can not play 1. e4 e5 2. bc4 nc6 3. Use acceleration and Qf3 (or Qh5) Qxf7 checkmate However, it doesn't mean that you can't move the same type of piece twice. You can still move the same type of piece twice when you use acceleration skill. Rule 2: You have to move the King out of check first when using acceleration If your king is in check and you use acceleration, you have to move the king out of check first in the first move of the acceleration. This way, you can not avoid a checkmate if it has already happened in the last move of the opponent. Extra section: Discoveries In this variant, discoveries to the king will be deadly because your opponent can just move the piece that's going to set up a discovery in the first move of the Acceleration and just capture your king. Always be careful of discoveries. This applies to both normal chess and Acceleration Chess. If you have any suggestions or questions, comment below and I'll read it.
When your oponent resigns, it first appeared like you castled and then he resings. Is this a bug or part of it? Here is a proof where my oponent resigned in a Fog of War game and a mysterious "P" in the notation appeared, the castling sound, and then the resign even though I have already moved my king and din't had rooks. https://www.chess.com/variants/fog-of-war/game/14644544/57/3 just click on the forward option 2 times and you will see the P in the notation, the castling sound, and finally then the resign by white.

Put the pieces you want. But only one king and one queen maximum, no more than 16 pawns ; black and whites' pieces are the same.Put the name you want in below.
everytime you move a piece/pawn it gets frozen in place as it drops its torches in the freezing cold on the adjacent squares it moved to by accident. If another piece moves to a square adjacent to a frozen piece, the frozen piece unfreezes, because the torches that the now frozen piece dropped heated up the piece back to live. Stalemates that occur because of frozen pieces are considered won for the player stalemating. Unlike petrified pieces that occur in "petrified" frozen pieces can be captured Example opening: Stay warm, my friends in the USA

I know that 4 player chess is soon going to be moved to the main server, and I was thinking about how this might cause 4 player chess to become much more popular, meaning that it might be easier to find people to play with. Based on this I was thinking that maybe five player chess on a pentagonal board, and/or six player chess on a hexagonal board could be added. Maybe for 6 player chess the board could have hexagonal tiles instead of square tiles.
The queen is replaced w/ some random piece from a variant in chessvariants.com that has like 100 fairy chess pieces, but that piece is the archer ( shortening from Fuge’s archer). Moves like a queen, but captures in a diff way, by shooting. Shooting range is one or two sqs, more than that and one of ur PCs needs 2 b adjacent or attacking that piece. Do u like this?
Hey! 1d31-0 has created a FoW league! If you want to check out the club, please click here: https://www.chess.com/club/not-so-pro-fog-of-war-league. We are still gathering members, but we hope in a month or so we can have Week 1 underway!

An idea I was having for a variant, is a random starting position, in which the person creating the game gets to choose some of the rules for how the pieces will be arranged on the board, but the exact starting position is random. For instance the creator of a game might specify that the starting position can only have knights and camels but allow everything else about the position to be random, or alternatively a creator might specify that each player will have 20 pieces but allow the type and arrangement of pieces to be random. I was thinking that in addition there could be an option to randomize the rules, but select what rules the game might have. For instance the one making the game might specify that the game may or may not be KOTH but that it will certainly be sideways pawn, or the creator might specify that the game must be atomic but whether or not it's a stalemate win is random.

Add Variant of the Month, or perhaps of the week. This would be at, or close to, the top of the page. Having a special variant every month would allow chess.com to test, make lesser known variants popular, and keep people interested.
