What if we let people make their own custom positions with different variants like in 4PC?? you could make a creative defencive board or attacking, or just to put these variants into the 4pc server! +1 or -1 ?
Starting position is same as normal but the rules are different 1.when a piece is captured ,it returns to the starting place 2. There is a amazon on H3 and H6.
In this variant, both Kings are equipped with a broken gun, In which allow the king have 2 different kinds of captures: 1: Classic capture 2: Gun capture, in which captures a piece without moving the king himself, but costs 1 of ammo If kings ammo go to 0, the king wont be able to do the gun capture for the rest of the game. Get stalemated with 1 or more of ammo remaining is a lose. Each king has of 3 ammo
i want to insert antichess games, but i don't know how to change the variant
In this variant, if you are i check you can choose checking your opponent instead of getting out of check: here you can take the knight with the bishop because you are checking white. after that, black can just zugzwang you by moving the rook and then you can move your bishop to keep checking. because of this, there is a 5-check-rule which can draw the game, if you consecutively check 5 times while in check. so who is winning should avoid that by making another move (getting your king out of check) Also, if you are checkmated, you can check as a solution: Here you can check white with your queen, even if in checkmate. After the king escape, you can move your king in order to exit the check. In this variant you can check with a piece which will discover a check attack: Here you can play Bc6+ or Bg6+. In a double side check situation, you can move like there were no checks, but when your opponent gets his king out of check, you need to react (re-check or get your king out of check.) Finally, you can create "mate rushes" by mating each other and trying to achieve the one which doesn't has any other check with the very same pieces which are already checking. that one loses the game. Camel Forest II The pieces are represented in the picture above using their symbols on this site as I couldn't find a board editor for this. The pawns home rank is 5 and the pawns promote on the 14th rank. The options for pawn promotion would be any of the pieces shown in the starting position for the variant with the exception of the king, or a Ferz. Other than the starting position shown above, and the rules described above the rules would be the same as regular chess.
So, the paring system for the variants does not allow the player to know who he or she will play against, and it seems like rating is irrelevant as anyone can join any created match. What is happening is that A LOT of players simply refuse to play against me(probably because of the rating difference) and as they dont know that the match was created by me, they just enter the room and leave without playing, and when they create a match and I enter they room(without knowing, obviasly), they also leave without playing. I already tryied banning those players, but it seems like it doesn't stop them from entering my games. As I do believe the ban part is a bug, I will really appreciate if this issue receives some attention.

It seems to me ratings in variants are a bit high when compared to live chess. How would you feel of having new players start a 1200? If we change this, we'll of course also deduct 300 from all existing ratings. +1 or -1 ?
so as i said ive been wanting atomic tournys while we wait i may have found a work around so when creating a team match vs another team your able to post a fen for costom games we could paste the atomic fen and possibly play atomic tournys in basicality i havent tried it yet but i think it could work

So, in this variant you can't castle, must move your king up in the first three moves, lose if you move your king backwards, win if you get your king to the other side of the board, and lose if you can't move your king forward or sideways. Example game White wins because black can not move his king forward or sideways

In this chess variant you can win by losing all your pieces (like in antichess) or by capturing the enemy king (like in chess), either. So give all your pieces away but making sure the king goes last, because otherwise losing the king also loses the game. The other way is forcing the capture of the king. A king vs king scenario is a draw, like in chess. "Why not just move the king away and save it?". Because like in antichess capturing is compulsory, and if you have to take a piece that is not the checking piece, that´s it, game.
Okay, this one someone definitely did not invent before. Okay, so the a and h pawns are equipped with a trident. That means that any square directly one square above that pawn is killed by the trident, except a king, which has to move out of check by the trident pawn. Also, when a piece captures a trident pawn, it gains the abilities of a trident. If a trident pawn captures another trident pawn, it becomes extremely dangerous. Why? The squares diagonal of that pawn and the one in front of it all gets killed by the trident. The maximum amount of tridents a pawn can have is 5, when it kills all pieces in all 8 squares around it. Last rule: If a trident pawn makes a move that attacks the king but puts its own king in check, white can play c4 to draw. Do you like this variant? white can play c4 to stalemate the game Editing this 4 new rule. The trident attack range keeps going through. If there is another piece in front of a piece that gets killed by a trident, then that piece dies too, and so does other pieces one square in front of it, as shown in the example above.
OKay, there is a new fairy piece--the bomb. Which one of the rooks are loaded with. When they capture--capture squares are their only possible moves--it causes an explosion, which explodes all the squares around it. If it captures a bomb the range gets doubled. If one of the squares in the range is a bomb, that one detonates in the same number of squares that it would've exploded on. Also, there is a nightrider, which moves like a Knight, but can keep going in the same direction. Checks and Checkmates apply. Tell me if u like this or not. Also, I am the first one who created a fairy piece variant!
i was thinking chess.com could add a variant that is like normal chess but queen has to capture opponent queen for free. the first person who captures opponent queen for free wins if nobody captures opponent queen for free in limit if 110 moves then the game becomes a draw. i name the variant Capture Queen.
