Overview:When posting news, I get the 500 ?? Error. Environment:I use Google Chrome, and Windows 7 here at work. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to a Club, then to News;2. Write News, then Click Save & Preview3. I did Sync Headline as well;4. Click Publish. Result: Expected Result:News being posted.

The other day I was playing a Free-For-All Four Player chess tournament. When my pawn was promoted, it did not have a number one on it. And when captured, I gave away nine points. Could someone resolve this issue? Please? I don't ever want to give away another free nine points... Thank you chess.com!

  We see Home all the time. So much that we get very used to things the way they are. When I want to go to one of my top clubs, I click on home and know exactly where it is. When I want to kick off a Daily game, I click home, where I have the location of the New Game section memorized and have my mouse ready to click before the page even loads. We all get so used to the way things are on Home that it's almost hard to consider any changes there.  But by not considering change, we ignore opportunities for improvement. Are we missing out on a much better Home experience? Hello everyone. The new achievements that pop up once you do that thing are interesting and fun to have. However, I think it would be more fair to people if you get the achievement if you've already achieved it. For example, I've checkmated with every piece on the chessboard but I've only got achievements for two of them since those were the most recent checkmates after achievements were created. So, I think that I should get achievements for all the things I've already done regardless of when so that I don't have to do it over again just to get the achievement. And that goes for everyone else too. What do you think? -AblazePopRocket

I set up a game in the analysis board. Then to share it I go to the share option copy that code and paste it in some post,right? I paste a code in my profile. When I wish to see that diagram it says loading and it seems like it will never load. Yesterday I wrote a blog . I pasted the code at times and when I published it, the places where the games where supposed to be were simply blank while sometimes the diagrams work too! It's quite a matter of luck. What should I do? It causes major problems sometimes. I am using Firefox windows 8

I understand that to prevent abuse, the number of times you can change your username is restricted. However, being able to change it only once feels restrictive. If you want to change your name, you can only do it once. I suggest that it be "you may only change your username once per month" or "you may only change your username once per year." That would keep the anti-abuse policy, but make changing your name a little less final.

Whenever I post a game code in a post to share it and send the post the board does not come. Sometimes it's a blank space instead of the game while sometimes the board shows loading and never loads. When I wrote a blog yesterday and published it instead of games there were blank spaces. What should I do? Sometimes it causes a major problem. I am using Firefox windows 8 Oh and sometimes when I am lucky the board works too!

Hi all, first time posting here. Not sure if this will be helpful to you or not, or if anyone can help me, but I thought I'd describe a quirky situation that I'm noticing. I am playing a fairly large # of daily games (for me -- around 20) and am trying to keep detailed notes on my in-game thoughts through the analysis board. I am listing potential moves that I'm looking at and trying to comment at key points re: what I'm thinking, to help with analysis later on... I'm noticing an inconsistent situation that comes up... occasionally when I pull up the analysis board in the middle of one of these daily games, I will get a completely "fresh" move list without any of the previously saved analysis -- it's like I never saved anything previously. Except I know for certain that I did, and it was saved. This "disappearing analysis" seems to happen entirely randomly. And, I think the missing analysis notes have actually returned later on in games, as well. It's apparently a very spotty bug that comes and goes. I hesitated noting this here because I wasn't certain that it was really happening, but now I've seen the analysis temporarily disappear in multiple games where I am certain I had detailed lines saved previously. And I'm pretty sure I've seen the analysis return again later on, as well (several moves later). It is very strange. has anyone else seen anything like this? I'm using firefox, if it makes any difference. I apologize for the relatively vague description, I guess I will keep notes on which games I'm keeping notes on (!) and will submit a formal bug report with specifics later. thanks, -Peter

I am currently directing a few tournaments, I and am trying to greet everyone who joins them. However, it is extremely hard to manually see if anyone new has joined them, so I propose that there be a way to receive notifications via email when somebody joins one of your tournaments, where you can turn the setting on and off in Settings -> Alerts and Email.

This isn't easy to explain, but I will do my best to try. I initially didn't report this, due to the fact that, I had considered the site's owner's/developers, may have had different intentions for the Android application's development, other than my perception of it or perhaps wanted us to use a web browser, to access particular features, if using a phone or tablet. I can't vouch for how these things behave when using a tablet. I regularly use the Android application to access the web, for making moves in games, but while away from my desktop, I do attempt to use it for other site services like forum posts, notes, articles, etc. I use a "backdoor" into the site via the tournaments menu button, then select daily, which will then pull up a page which shows forum notifications, in particular. That looks like this. I can also use this link to access my home page, via this link... I find that if I begin to go into a club like the Cheating Forum, or US Chess, I can click here: ...and I will be taken to the requested link, but if I am in a forum, or one of my own private clubs, I have to back out the page which shows the live and daily links, click the live link, wait for it to show the list of live tournaments and then click the daily link again, as shown circled in the picture above. I have also noticed that the Android application won't show any messages in this screen... ....but will show them once I reach this screen.... If I didn't know better, this seems to be some sort of communication issue between servers. I am not sure if you have separate servers for the site's regular functions and one for the Android Application. Certainly there is a separate server that the cell phone providers use and yours, if you only have one. So perhaps it is the way the two or more communicate for certain notifications. Game notifications seem to work well. Messages, not so well, but regular forum posts, club notes, club forums and home pages are better than messages, but still seem inconsistent compared to game notifications. The Cheating Forum seems to work better than any other forum, but I am assuming this is because more knowledgeable and caring users give feedback, along with that forum's importance, give you more notification of problems. I also have problems with scrolling and highlighting in Chrome, with Windows 7 x 64 pro It will highlight far more than I am trying really quickly, the same with when I scroll down. It is as if the scroll bar and arrow get a confusion in function, when they get next to each other. Perhaps there is a way to keep the functions the same, put create a natural space between them ? I hope this information is helpful in trying to work bugs out of the system, provide more consistency and providing more continuity for the site. Hello, guys. It's been awhile since I made a suggestion here. I honestly love the forums, posting as well as going through them. However, while some are actually good quality, most forums out there are honestly trash. I'm wondering if Chess.com might have ever considered recognizing users who actually post quality forums and maybe have a separate page for their topics? Kind of like top blogger versus regular blogger. Just an idea. Thanks!

Hello everyone! I have tried a few times to change the email address where chess.com sends my alerts to but every time I do it, a message that says "An account with this email already exists" shows up and chess.com refuses to change my email. However, I never seem to receive alerts on the email address I want to switch to. Can anyone help me solve the problem? Browser: Google ChromeComputer: Windows 10

What about using emojis in club notes? (Emojis that are in live chess and chess.tv and private messages and comments) Suppose you're angry or something, you can't use keyboard keys to show that you're angry, but you can with a smile ":-)", or sadness ":-(". Please think about it.

When first time i started four player game the sreen was just showing the game. Nothing was going on.

Its not actually "Extended title", but still, see this: See the NM's title. Please fix this, though its a minor problem.

I can't see the "close" or "x" option to close the box that shows "Won by Resignation" along with analysis etc. Please see what can be dome abolut this.

i have a got a high speed internet. All websites are opening in a flash. But my chess.com beta is taking ages to respond. The pieces in tactics trainer are moving like sloths. As soon as i leave beta the problem is solved. What do i do?
