This year's U20 World Chess Championships brought some of the top junior players together for some very exciting chess. The tournament had 11 players who were above 2500 including American GM Hans Niemann, German GM Frederik Svane, and French GM Marc'andria Maurizzi. The tournament ended with 4 players on 8.5/11 with Maurizzi being declared the winner on tiebreaks. Today I will analyze a handful of interesting games from the tournament.

Round 1: Kacharava-Gonzalez (1/2)

* I chose this match because of the massive rating difference between the GM Kachrava (2528) and untitled Gonzalez (1969).

Round 9: Maurizzi-Shitco (1-0)

Wow what a game by Maurizzi, according to chess.com he had 4 brilliant moves! The prodigy is definitely the future of French chess.

Thanks for reading!

God Bless!
