1.Magnus Carlsen, is a Norwegian World Champion who some consider the greatest chess player of all time. he has won several world championships and is at the age of 29. He is the current world number 1.

2.Fabiano Caruana, is a 27 year old American Grandmaster. He is the current world number 2. He was also the world Championship Runner Up last time and is currently part of the 2020 Candidates tournament.

3.Ding Liren, is a 27 year old Chinese Super Grandmaster. He is also currently in the Candidates tournament. Liren has won multiple Chinese Championships and is also the world number 3. He is one of the three active player to have a rating higher than 2800.

4.Ian Nepomniachtchi, is a 29 year old Russian Super Grandmaster. He is currently the highest Russian player and is 4th in the world. He was also a part of the 2020 Candidates tournament and has a wining record against Magnus Carlsen.

5. Wesley So, the Filipino born American GM is 26 years old. He has won numerous US Championships. So is the 7th ranked player in the world. He is also one of the best blitz players in the world.
