[Removed] Event #59 Loyal Queen

This event was part of event chess. However it has been removed mainly for 2 reasons:

  1. The strategy to take advantage of this event by moving the queen next to the allied king is a bit too situational and easily become irrelevant when no player uses it.
  2. The event feels static and defensive. The queen next to king would be a defensive piece and by rewarding the queen for being there you encourage it to stay there.

There is no spiritual successor to this event.

Event# 59 Loyal Queen

Condition: At least 1 queen for each player. At least 1 king for each player. Starting this event does not cause any player to be in check.

Queens standing next to an allied king can move twice during the same turn. It can only move 1 step during the first move (like a king), but can move as a normal queen on the second move.

Example:

The queen is not standing next to the king, so it moves as normal.

Example 2:

The queen is standing next to the king, so it can perform a kings move followed by a queens move during the same turn.

Example 3:

In this position white can play Qxe3xf3

Example 4:

Black is checkmated. Black can not move his king to a square where the white queen can not capture it. Also his rook can not block since white is still threatening to take the black king (Rd2, Qxd2xd8)
