My good games at this week #62
Hello!
Once again, I've had some good games this week!
Last Sunday, I played in the Elite Superblitz Arena on Lichess for the first time. My biggest win was my game against the renowned Venezuelan coach and FIDE Master Eddy Ravelo (FIDE 2406).
He’s the fourth-highest rated player in his country; that’s seriously high-level competition for me!
Top 5 my wins vs title players
I also wrapped up one of my most interesting blog posts this week: Hummer of Von Hennig In it, I made specific theoretical recommendations for dealing with the notorious Blackmar-Diemer Gambit (BDG).
Believe me or not, immediately after publishing, I started running into players who actually use this opening system. It’s like the chess gods were testing my homework.
I selected two of the most interesting games (out of several, thankfully!) and even made a video about one of them.
What do you think of this idea: taking on the most dangerous chess gambits and recording the video?
Experienced players know this unpleasant gambit can be easily avoided if you skip playing ...d5 immediately after 1.d4.
But if you're a devoted Scandinavian Defense player, like yours truly, prepare for a terrible, unavoidable truth: you can’t dodge the BDG. ![]()
Remember that absolutely insane Anti-Sicilian line I showcased back in My Good Games #49? In My Good Games #51 I used it to confuse a real FIDE Master from Colombia, and the game was so well-loved by readers that it became The best Game on January
Do you recall that "I've-lost-count-of-the-pawn-sacrifices" crazy novelty?
Well.
I did it again.
Against candidate from Netherlands!
And now a funny opening catastrophes from my live streams https://www.twitch.tv/uaartur
Add the coment if you like my games!
