My good games at this week #64

64 it's the most beautiful and legendary number for any chess player.
To celebrate, here are my best and most instructive games from my sixty-fourth week of play and blogging!
I love chess gambits. I'm thrilled that this contagious enthusiasm is spreading to many readers of this blog!
Sometimes, followers even send me games where they’ve started playing the aggressive systems I promote. I plan to feature some of your games in an upcoming blog soon!
I always do my best to choose the most instructive examples from my own practice, especially since some of my favorite systems are quite original and not detailed in traditional textbooks.
Here is one of those original examples in my favorite Wing Gambit!
If you haven’t voted for that game in the contest yet, you still can!
Many of my opening ideas are born right behind the board, including the very rare gambit I played against the Caro-Kann Defense for two years. I tried to summarize my thoughts about it in the blog I called Hummer of Von Hennig. I was honest and noted that this idea is not a "deadly weapon," pointing out a few simple theoretical lines where Black is fine.
Since then, playing this gambit has unfortunately become less profitable for me. However, sometimes I manage to remember the old "golden times" and still manage to crush an opponent with it!
This next game is a good illustration, but a word of warning: it's a messy brawl, full of bugs and mistakes! Please don't judge; it was a superblitz game (3 minutes).
Puzzle Time!
Well, here’s a sharp puzzle from my Benoni adventures this week.
Let’s call it: How do you punish your opponent if they eagerly eat the d5-pawn?
In our final game for today, we’ll combine ideas from two of my most popular blogs.
This features a typical sacrifice from the Let's sacrifice on h7 ! blog, combined with the theme of an old but insidious theoretical gambit line, mentioned in my posts Top 5 Italian attacks! and the bestseller sequel, Itallian shine .
